ELSA brings Globe Education to France
In 2016, ELSA partners with Globe Education.
Member schools can benefit from bespoke student and parent workshops, storytelling, and training for teachers.
ELSA has a long history with Globe Education extending repeated invitations to Globe Practitioners to lead teacher training sessions at the ELSA annual conference and in-school workshops for students.
Member schools can partner to share costs and host their own Globe workshop at their school.
Student Workshops: 60 minute or 90 minute workshops which can be based on any Shakespeare play.
Storytelling: 45 minute interactive Storytelling performances on the following plays: The Tempest, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, The Winter’s Tale, Romeo & Juliet, Henry V and Macbeth. The Storytelling sessions can be adapted to different age groups and allow your students to experience the thrill of live performance at their school. Parents can also join their children in our specially tailored Family Storytelling sessions.
Workshops for Parents: These workshops aim to help parents develop their own expertise in telling stories through understanding the importance of narrative in language development and would be aimed primarily at parents with children in Early Years foundation stage.
CPD Sessions: Practitioners can deliver CPD sessions for Teachers which can either be play specific or theme specific. The sessions are bespoke and aim to provide participants with tailored approaches to Shakespeare that will inspire, enhance and develop their classroom practice.
