History Teacher, Institut Notre Dame

Wanted: A full-time secondary school teacher of History (native English-speaker level) for September 2023
Position & Section Description:

• The teaching post is in an Anglophone Section in a French Catholic secondary school.
• The Anglophone Section has two tracks: native speaker (Anglophone), and fluent non-native speaker (Bilingual).
• The Anglophone Section teaches students English language, literature, and history in English.
• Teachers are expected to prepare and teach age appropriate and curriculum-based lessons that are adapted to the specific needs of their students. 
• Teachers should make themselves available for teaching hours, as well as for team and level meetings, occasional evening meetings, and school and section events.
• Teaching hours for the post are 18 hours a week (full-time).

 
Skills Required:

• Native speaker of English
• Conversational level of French
• Teacher certification, preferably from an Anglophone country, to teach history (or related course)
• Teaching experience, preferably both in their native country as well as in France
• Student-centered teaching philosophy with a positive approach toward discipline
