ELSA is a national organization promoting professional growth and dynamic communication in the field of English or bilingual education. Our leadership in the field has been perhaps most evident in the success of its annual Teacher Development conference that features a wide array of presenters and workshops relevant to K-12 teachers, University counselors, administrators and librarians as well as many exhibitor stands presenting educational material and resources.
ELSA is recognized and sponsored by the European Council for International Schools and the teacher training is now accredited by Buffalo-State University of New York.
ELSA believes that the greatest threat to school improvement is professional isolation. As widely varying in structure and style as our member institutions may be, we share the challenges and opportunities of conducting education in France, and our commitment to first-rate English language education means that we have much to learn from one another.

Professional Development TDD is now officially recognized by French government authorities as a professional development conference. Schools and individuals may apply to the relevant organism for funding when applying to TDD.
