The Teacher Development Day began life as the “Teach-In”. As the change in name indicates, the focus of this event has evolved significantly over its 11 years in existence.

In its current form, the “TDD”, as it is known to all those familiar with the event, brings together teachers and heads of all member schools for a day-long conference.

The event comprises official addresses to the entire delegation from eminent speakers, practical workshops and breakout sessions broken down into various themes and issues.  These sessions are frequently organised by subject matter (English, History, Science, Information Technology etc) or level (Primary, Middle or Upper school), ensuring that the TDD meets the needs of a diverse body of attending staff.

The TDD remains the flagship event in the ELSA calendar year. It is has been previously held at the American University in Paris and is currently at Ecole Active Bilingue International in the 15th.
