ELSA is the English Language Schools Association for international and bilingual schools in France. Our Association is a network of educators and administrators working for schools that deliver all or part of their curriculum in English. The flagship event is our annual conference known as Teacher Development Day (TDD), held in Paris and open to members or non-members alike. The TDD gathers over 300 delegates and a dozen leading educational companies in the Exhibitor room for a full day. ELSA presently has a network of 38 members including international schools and educational consultants in France.
ELSA-France is a non-profit making association composed of schools in France which offer advanced programs of study in English. Its mission is to provide up-to-date information on those seeking schools in English, and to facilitate communication, cooperation, and professional growth among member schools. The Teacher Development Day otherwise known as TDD is the showcase event for ELSA, the national association of English-language and bilingual schools in France. In recent years it has become the leading annual Anglophone teacher forum in France. This annual event that runs all day for an estimated 300 teachers and administrators of ELSA-France member schools and interested educators in France and abroad. It consists of approximately nine streams of workshop and presentation sessions for primary, middle and upper school teachers, as well as job-alike sessions for college admissions, educational leadership and librarians. These workshops are given by local specialists and outside speakers from Europe, the U.K. and the U.S.A. A large, easy to access exhibiting area allows delegates to browse and discover new resources and materials published by leading educational companies. ELSA's Teacher Development Day has been recognized by ECIS and offers credit in partnership with International Graduate Programs for Educators, State University of New York.
